Scarpa Wines takes part in the Pondus® project for cork stoppers weight selection

Scarpa Wines is a historic winery from Piemonte founded in 1854, with around 30 hectares of land cultivated in the Poderi Bricchi, Barolo and Barbaresco areas. The winery enthusiastically joined our corking project with Pondus®, in order to improve and increase its knowledge of weight selection and controlled oxygenation of cork stoppers, and to pursue its goal of achieving even higher quality from its wines. The wine chosen for the bottling test is Langhe Nebbiolo 2021 'Bric Du Nota' with an alcohol content of 13.5%.

"We started collaborating with Sugherificio Molinas about 2 years ago, in order to include a new supplier of high-quality cork stoppers, and Molinas has an important reputation," says Scarpa Wines' oenologist, Silvio Trinchero, who also emphasises the "solid partnership" established in recent years with Sugherificio Molinas.

Scarpa Wines' great and long-standing knowledge of the wine sector encouraged the company to join our project, an opportunity to learn, innovate and achieve new successes.
"For us, the natural cork stopper is fundamental for durability over time" is the premise of Scarpa Wines, which welcomed Pondus® both for the sustainable spirit of Sugherificio Molinas and the project's strong innovative imprint.

"Personally, I am delighted that Sugherificio Molinas chose us, considering us a reference company given our long history in the production of high quality wines” concludes Silvio Trinchero, sealing the beginning of a new phase in this great collaboration.
