What binds the Fattoria Zerbina to the Sugherificio Molinas is a story of trust that has lasted for almost 40 years, since 1985 to be precise. And it is precisely in the name of this decades-long trust and friendship that the Romagna winery has decided to take part in the experimental corking project with Pondus®, a weighted selection of top-quality cork stoppers, to find the perfect closure for each and every wine.

For Cristina Geminiani, owner of the company and responsible for agronomic and oenological management, cork is essential to contribute to her oenological project that is both technical and sustainable. Indeed, she comments: “We are always on the lookout for innovative solutions, possibly using natural products, which will help us guarantee the best possible result for our consumers”.

The wine involved in this study is Pietramora 2019 (Romagna DOC Sangiovese Marzeno Riserva), one of the top-of-the-range red wines from Fattoria Zerbina. "Over the years, I have carried out several blind tastings with different corks on the same product, and the cork stopper signed by Molinas has always left an absolutely indelible mark on the style of our wines", concludes Geminiani.
