Today, FineCork® is even more sustainable than ever. A recent study carried out by the Italian Composting and Biogas Association (in Italian: C.I.C. Consorzio Italiano Compostatori) — a non-profit organization that promotes and improves the recycling of the organic fraction of waste and by-products, aiming to produce compost and biomethane — certifies that FineCork® agglomerated closures meet the compostability requirements according to UNI EN 13432.
This action is also part of a wider project of an increasingly sustainable and environmentally aware company. The fact that FineCork® closures are fully compostable is an important step towards a future in which closures will be increasingly natural and easily recyclable.
