Sugherificio Molinas is a member of FSC® Italia

After obtaining the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Chain of Custody (COC) certification BV-COC-164758 in 2021, the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Forest Management (FM) certification ICILA-FM/COC-004337, and after certifying several of our own forests, from this year we are also members of FSC® Italia.

With this membership, we reaffirm our commitment to a path of sustainable development, demonstrating care for the environment and monitoring the positive impact of certification on it, in order to plan for a more sustainable future.

FSC® is the most widespread and appreciated label for good forest management in Italy, with over 3,200 certified companies and widespread consumer recognition.

In existence since 1996, FSC® made its real debut in 1997 with the certification of the Magnifica Comunità di Fiemme, the first forest certification in the entire Alpine region, and the following year with the first Chain of Custody (CoC) certification.

In 2022, the number of CoC certifications issued by FSC® Italy in our country will exceed 3,000, while the number of certified hectares will exceed 75,000.

Our new membership status allows us to participate in the Members’ Assembly, the decision-making body of FSC®, which is divided into three chambers representing environmental, social and economic interests respectively. Voting power is divided equally between the three chambers, taking into account the interests of the members of each chamber.
