Masi winery joins our experimentation project Pondus®

Masi winery, a historic company rooted in the Valpolicella Classica area since 1772, with which Sugherificio Molinas has had a twenty-year relationship, has also joined the list of partners for the Pondus® cork trial.

The choice of cork as the material for bottling its wines has never been a matter of doubt for Masi, as Raffaele Boscaini declares, Marketing Director and Coordinator of Masi's Technical Group: "Cork has always been the material used to preserve wine in bottles, so it's not really a choice but a decision that derives from various aspects: from preserving a tradition and an image, to sustainability aspects, passing through technical performances that still today make it difficult to replace."

Pondus® represents an opportunity for experimentation and mutual growth; in fact, Masi shares with us the enthusiasm of welcoming new opportunities for technical research and development.

"Beyond the expectation of improvements in cork stopper performances, there is also the guarantee of an update in knowledge related to the packaging and preservation of our fine wines," explains Raffaele Boscaini, to illustrate the reason why Masi has decided to join the project. This is an important new step in a process that aims to improve the quality of wine production and that both of our companies have been pursuing for more than a century.
